About Janée

Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Janée Nacht.

I am the mother of two adorable children – a boy age nine and a girl age six. They are the absolute greatest. (But who knows? I may be a little biased!)

I am also a wife, a daughter, a cousin, and a friend.

One of the dearest pieces of me is my identity as a therapist.

At this point in my life, I know I’m here to bear witness to people’s stories. I was doing so long before I even knew what therapy was.

It started in grammar school.

Whatever problems my friends had, they all wanted to talk to me. After a while, talking to each person started taking up a good amount of time. So, after school, before the teachers ushered me into after-care, I worked in time for everyone.

I sat at the top of the steps leading to the front office. My friends lined up and waited their turn to talk to me about whatever they needed to talk through that day.

It wasn’t until adulthood that I reflected and chuckled at the realization that I’d actually been keeping office hours.

So, I made it official.

I’ve had my fair share of training since then. I earned my undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in Psychology.

From there, I pursued a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University.

Currently, I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor specializing in helping adults with Emotional Coaching and Life Balance through Individual Therapy.

It’s my calling – and my mission.

I believe deeply in the power of therapy. It transforms lives and allows people to do and be things they never imagined they could become.

I would love to be your partner in cultivating peace in your life.
